Trygonas: Village Life in the Plomari Hills

Trygonas is almost joined to neighbouring Plagia and makes a natural second stop on the same route. Its houses, cultivated slopes and local landmarks offer a quieter view of the communities connected with Plomari.

Walk through the centre

Park carefully, continue on foot and look at how the houses sit within the terrain. Stop for coffee when the village café is open and ask locally before visiting any working production space.

Agios Antonios and the old school

The late-19th-century church of Agios Antonios is one of the village’s most recognisable landmarks, with the small chapel of Agioi Apostoloi in its grounds. The neoclassical school also belongs to the route through the village.
